8:25 AP - Advertising and Distributing Materials in Schools

Advertising and Distributing Materials in Schools Provided by Non-School Related Entities

District 303 often receives requests from other organizations to distribute informational materials to students.  Suitability and approval are at the discretion of District 303.  Distribution of materials in District 303 will only be considered for organizations located within District 303 boundaries.

Organizations receiving financial support directly through property taxes and located within District 303 boundaries may request and can be considered for distribution of paper flyers.  Other distribution requests will only be considered for posting in the Community Backpack webpage.

Weekly or bi-weekly notices will be sent to all E-News subscribers reminding them that flyer information is posted on our Community Backpack web page.  Organizations wishing to submit information to be posted in the Community Backpack must submit their request electronically via a completed Community Backpack Posting Request Form and an electronic version of the flyer to Community Relations at least ten days in advance of the desired posting date.

We ask that organizations limit postings to one per month, with a two-month limit for any item.  Approved postings will be updated on a bi-weekly basis.  Complete details are listed in the Community Backpack Distribution Guidelines document.

Limited Print Materials

Upon District approval of Community Backpack posting, at the discretion of each building administrator, a limited number of materials may be made available in the main office and/or posted as appropriate.  It will be up to the requesting organization to provide paper copies to each school in a timely manner.  Schools are not required to make additional copies or to distribute to individual classrooms/students.

Upon District approval of Community Backpack posting, schools may distribute to students individual paper fliers from organizations receiving financial support directly through property taxes if that organization is located within District 303.

Approved posters will be limited to 5 at the elementary level, 10 at the middle school and high school level and will be delivered to the front office by the group making the request.
