Bill Harley

Children’s book author and Two-Time Grammy Award winning artist/storyteller  Bill Harley comes to St. Charles the week of the School District’s 2013 Literature Fest with his original brand of song and storytelling. Harley, a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, will share his wit and wisdom with us April 18th.

Harley, hailed by Entertainment Weekly, as the Mark Twain of contemporary children’s music has been entertaining crowds that span ages, from toddlers to grandparents, for over 30 years.  The Washington Post says Harley is “a champion yarn-spinner & tunesmith with a sense of wonder, whimsy and mischief...”

Harley will be sharing his talents during the Literature Festival week with the students at Lincoln Elementary School and the Storyteller's Olio at the Arcada on Thursday, April 18.
