D303 Parent Survey Records 2nd Highest Mark Ever

St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 recorded its second highest mark ever in parent satisfaction during the annual District 303 Parent Satisfaction Survey. The parent survey responses, numbering an all-time high of 2,721, stated that 87% were either “mostly” or “very” satisfied with their child’s school. This year’s level of parent satisfaction is topped only by the 88% satisfaction mark in the 2015 survey. This is the seventh year in a row the satisfaction percentage has topped 80%.

District 303 received its highest grade-level mark in parent satisfaction at the middle school level with 88%. Elementary school satisfaction for 2016 is 87% and high school satisfaction is 86%. This is the eighth year in a row the elementary and middle school satisfaction numbers have been 80% or higher.

Parents were also asked to “grade” seven categories on a 1 through 5 scale. Four categories received all-time high marks. Those categories are: Teachers (4.62); Central Administration (4.18); Superintendent (4.00); and Board of Education (3.98).

“We appreciate that so many parents took the time to complete the survey,” said Dr. Donald Schlomann, District 303 Superintendent of Schools. “Though it is not a scientific survey, the high volume of responses gives us valuable feedback.”

The survey was conducted through District 303’s website www.d303.org during the week of December 5-14, 2016. All District 303 parents were asked to fill out a survey at the proper grade level for each of their children who attend District 303 schools.
