Elementary Report Card

Report Card for Grades K-5

Our goal at District 303 is to meet individual needs of each child according to his/her own abilities. A standards-based report card gives a clear message to parents about what their children know, what they are able to do, and what they need to learn in relation to the standards.  Not all report card statements are assessed each trimester. Every child is an individual who grows and develops at his/her own rate.

This elementary report card:

  • Is aligned to CUSD 303 curriculum and standards
  • Helps parents recognize the learner’s progress towards the standards
  • Shows where parents, teachers, and children can work together toward enhancing student learning
  • Includes Behaviors that Affect Learning that are important at all grade levels, in every subject, and in all aspects of the school day.

All sections of the report card are marked using the same rating scale:

Beginning (Bgn) - Student has not yet demonstrated an understanding of concepts, skills and processes and requires consistent support
Progressing (Prg) - Student sometimes demonstrates an understanding of concepts, skills and processes and requires some support
Meeting (Mtg) - Student is proficient at demonstrating an understanding of concepts, skills and processes as stated in the standards/curriculum
Exceeding (Exc) - Student demonstrates an in-depth understanding of concepts, skills and processes and exceeds the required level of performance
NA. Not assessed at this time.
