Bev Taylor- 40 Years Teaching at Wasco School- and counting!

On the last day of school, Wasco students, staff, alums and retired teachers gathered to give proper recognition to Mrs. Beverly Taylor.  Mrs. Taylor has taught Wasco students for 40 years (and counting). One of the hallways at Wasco has been named in Mrs. Taylor's honor.

North H.S. HEROS Describe Their Natural Highs

Katie Explains It All in the Reality Store

Every year at Thompson Middle School, the staff and the PTO team up for the "Reality Store". In class, students research careers and learn about really fun adult stuff like paying for the necessities of life. The PTO assembles a "Reality Store" where students make mock purchases of what they want and need based on the income of their chosen career.  Thompson Team 8-3 student Katie Cantrell explains how she decided to spend her pediatrician's salary.

Mr. Stombres' Surprise Orchestra

St. Charles North H.S. Music Teacher Mr. Jim Stombres is retiring after 15 years in District 303.  His prior stops were at Naperville North H.S. and Batavia H.S.  After Mr. Stombres conducted his last concert for his current students, over 100 of his former students assembled on stage to be led by their former teacher one more time.  Watch and listen as the "Mr. S. Alumni Orchestra" performs "Irish Tune from County Derry".

Easy As Pi

Thompson Middle School 6th Grader Blake Varga was the winner at this year's Thompson Pi Day Contest on March 14 (3.14....get it?) in which students recited as many digits of Pi as they could from memory.  Blake re-created his 58-digit winning performance for us. 

North H.S Presents "The Drowsy Chaperone"

The St. Charles North H.S. Theatre & Music Department will present their Spring Musical The Drowsy Chaperone for four performances Thur-Sat April 23, 24, & 25 at 7:30 p.m. Sun, April 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for adults, and $3 for senior citizens.  Tickets are available at the box office 30 minutes before the show.
