An Hour of Code at Haines

Students at Haines Middle School participated in "An Hour of Code" which is an initiative to introduce students to the language of computer programming.  Students learned how programmers created "Sphero", a device that is controlled through a mobile, wireless app. (And they were able to test drive Sphero!)

Students Changing Schools

In District 303 over the last decade, there have been no major school boundary changes, no schools that have closed, no schools that have opened.  That is vastly different from what students experienced in the past.  Listen to the tales of school changes as told by some of our staff members who went to school in District 303. Veterans' Day at Munhall

Students at Munhall Elementary welcomed Veterans to their school on the 11th day of the 11th month to say "Thank You" for serving our country and keeping us free.

Middle School Facilities Meeting at Thompson

This is the presentation of the Middle Schools Facilities proposal which, if approved by the School Board, would renovate Thompson Middle School and close Haines Middle School by Fall of 2019. The next key meeting date is a Special Meeting of the Board on Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m at Thompson.

Sen. Karen McConnaughay Visits Anderson School

Anderson students received a visit and a lesson in lawmaking from Illinois State Senator Karen McConnaughay.  She told Anderson 4th and 5th graders the story of Chloe, a girl from Troy, Illinois who wasn't allowed to sell cupcakes to her neighbors until she received from help the General Assembly.
