Fox Valley Mental Health Advocacy Council

Fox Valley Mental Health Advocacy Council

The Fox Valley Mental Health Advocacy Council is dedicated to ensuring a positive change of perception of mental illness and related issues, improving early identification and intervention, and enhancing the quality and simplifying the accessibility of support systems.

Comprised of local mental health professionals, school personnel, and other community members, the Fox Valley Mental Health Advocacy Council formed as a result of recommendations from the 2013 St. Charles D303 Summit on Mental Health which highlighted the need to combat stigma and expand awareness and access to mental health services. Since that time, the Council has become an independent organization and has expanded to include the Tri-Cities (St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia) and surrounding communities.
