Our purpose is to help students learn, develop, and apply the skills needed for daily participation in health-related personal fitness and lifetime activities which contribute to habits and attitudes of a healthy lifestyle.
The District 303 Wellness Committee is made up of administrators, district staff, teachers, health professionals, parents, students, and community members who provide support for and promote wellness activities and initiatives in all schools as they relate to the 2024 CUSD 303 Local Wellness Policy & School Board Policy 6:50. These activities may include nutrition, physical activity, mental health, social-emotional learning, and wellness curriculum.
Anyone who is interested in participating in the Wellness Committee may contact Wendy Sedwick at 331.228.4927 or wendy.sedwick@d303.org.

The wellness curriculum includes health and physical education - essential components of a child's education.
Students are encouraged to develop positive attitudes about themselves, about healthy habits and about physical activity so they will choose to adopt and maintain lifelong health-related fitness.
Children also develop creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills through kinesthetic and personal wellness activities.
The District 303 Wellness curriculum promotes the whole child through health and physical education.
